Prose in the Park is an initiative of Ottawa's writing community for the first major open air literary festival/book fair in the Nation's Capital - June 6, 2015, 11 am - 6 pm in the Parkdale Park

Art and Literature Mapalé & Publishing Inc. is an independent Canadian publishing house dedicated to promoting art, literature and culture. It has organized concerts, art exhibitions, book launches and other cultural events since 2004. Mapalé promotes writers, musicians, visual artists and entrepreneurs among others.

Mapalé has published cultural magazines and books and has participated in book fairs and community fairs in Ottawa, Gatineau, Toronto and Montreal. In 2017 Mapalé participated for the first time in international book fairs in Colombia and Mexico.
