When We Are Bold: Women Who Turn Our Upsidedown World Right is a collection of 28 short profiles of women who boldly work for change, by the women writers, thinkers and doers they inspire. This unique collection will bring you up-close and personal to famous women from around the world—including Jane Goodall, Nawal El Saadawi, Gloria Steinem and Wangari Maathai—as well as to women who should be famous. These stories, and the women who tell them are proof that ordinary women do extraordinary things.
